Creamy Garlic Steak Pasta with Bell Peppers
There is something so comforting about a big skillet of creamy pasta, especially when it is tangled with tender steak, sweet bell peppers, juicy tomatoes, and plenty of garlic. This is the kind of dinner that feels a little special without asking too much from you.
The steak gets a quick sear until it is browned and flavorful, then the vegetables soften in the same pan, soaking up all those savory bits left behind. Once the cream, Parmesan, and beef broth come together, the sauce turns smooth, rich, and cozy. It clings to the pasta beautifully, wrapping every strand in garlicky, cheesy goodness.
This is a perfect weeknight dinner when you want something hearty and satisfying, but it also feels nice enough to serve on a relaxed weekend evening. It is warm, colorful, and full of the kind of flavors that make everyone come back for another forkful.

Ingredients
For the Pasta and Steak
- 12 ounces spaghetti or linguine
- 1 pound steak, thinly sliced into strips
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
For the Creamy Garlic Sauce
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
For Garnish
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra parsley, for garnish
- Extra Parmesan, optional
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti or linguine and cook until al dente, following the package directions.
Before draining, scoop out 1/2 cup of pasta water and set it aside. Drain the pasta and keep it nearby.
Pat the steak strips dry with paper towels. This helps them brown nicely instead of steaming in the pan.
Season the steak with salt, black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Toss gently so every piece gets a little coating of flavor.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak in a single layer. Let it sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until browned and just cooked through.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
In the same skillet, add the butter. Once it melts, stir in the diced onion, red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and cherry tomatoes.
Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, until the vegetables begin to soften. The peppers should still have a little bite, and the tomatoes will start to turn juicy.
Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, just until it smells warm and fragrant.
Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. That is where so much of the flavor lives.
Lower the heat slightly, then pour in the heavy cream. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce becomes smooth, creamy, and lightly thickened.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until the noodles are coated in the sauce.
If the sauce feels too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water. Stir and add a little more if needed until the sauce is silky and easy to toss.
Return the seared steak strips to the skillet. Gently mix them into the pasta and let everything warm together for 1 to 2 minutes.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley just before serving.
Presentation
Serve this pasta in shallow bowls so the creamy sauce can settle around the noodles. Twirl the pasta into the center, then arrange a few steak strips and colorful peppers on top for a pretty finish.
A sprinkle of fresh parsley adds brightness, and a little extra Parmesan makes it feel extra cozy. For a restaurant-style touch, add a light crack of black pepper right before serving.
This dish looks especially beautiful because of the red and yellow peppers, the creamy sauce, and the fresh green parsley. It is colorful, hearty, and inviting all at once.
